Didn’t pass on my first try but missed by one point because the test is filled with filler or other testing questions beyond the scope of manual trans and rearends. But I did pass other the next try. Good refresher book to have and tests were all well explained on why I got wrong answers. I recommend this book series highly to every tech, if they believe ASEs will assist in their career
Read book 4 times and did not see much related on the actual exam. Unless your book smart or went through college courses you will fail over and over.
All of the other delmar books have been great but auto and manual trans (a2 and a3) are terrible. The motorage book has much more relevant questions and is much closer to what you get when you are taking your exam.
Delmar all the way!!! My boyfriend use it as a study guide and now he is a Master Mechanic and is now heading to an Advance Master!!!
Not super impressed. Studied 3/4 of book helped with only one question on test.
After going through book. Passed test with ease.
I like the Delmar ASE test prep series books because of so many test prep questions in the book. Less theory and more test questions.I need to get in to the rhythm of the ASE tests and these help every time. I am A1-A9, L1,L2,X1 certified. So yes, they helped me pass all of the tests. Thank you Delmar.
