I purchased this guide book exclusively for the Park City information and did not read the Salt Lake City section, so I cannot comment on that part. The Park City section has very basic information, but not much of anything in depth - nothing you wouldn't find out by just looking at the Park City visitor's bureau website. If you have no previous knowledge of Park City or the activities available there, I think it could be helpful. One thing it does do is describe each of the three ski resorts, and that might help you get an idea of which one you want to visit. But you can also find the same information on each respective ski resort's website. So if you aren't planning on doing any other research for a visit to Park City, I would recommend it, but I felt like it was a waste of time. (Not much time, though...did I mention the section on Park City is very short.)
A good basic guide to use as a starting point. Would be much more helpful if there was a Table of Contents or way to find out which content is on which page, so you don't have to flip through the whole book to see if a specific attraction is mentioned. Also, really needs to point to places where we can get more information about hiking trails. Salt Lake City is very well organized for winter travelers, but if you want to do some hikes in the summer, there are no hiking maps, signs, etc. No open bathrooms in the area as they are all for skiing, so guidance on even where the nearby bathrooms are for before/after you hike.

This is one of the few guides that I could find that focused on Salt Lake City, Park City, and the surrounding ski areas. I was a bit skeptical because there were no previous reviews, but the price was right so I took a chance and bought the book. I'm really glad I did--not only did it give an accurate and comprehensive overview of the cities and local ski areas, it also had neat "off the beaten path" ideas, like visiting a natural crater in Heber City for a swim in a hot spring. Maps, restaurant recommendations, and basic information and tips were spot-on. The book is lightweight and easy to carry in a purse or backpack. I would highly recommend it.
Very rudimentary guide. Didn't end up using on recent trip to Salt Lake City, as online resources were more than adequate.
Concise but comprehensive with useful information unique for the Salt Lake City, such as most restaurants are closed on Sunday, along with the best places to visit.
A great overview of Salt Lake City. I enjoyed the hotel and dining info and local information. This is a good reference.
