This short, but compelling, read brought tears to my eyes -- from the very beginning of the book. It was easy for me to relate to the candid descriptions the author shares about her experiences with bias -- intentional and otherwise -- and her strength, faith, and dependence on family to overcome the potential effects of such bias. Change is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things we can embrace, and Annella’s story is a great testimony of how to stay positive and rise above the chaos. This was the 1st time I sat long enough to read a book in years. It was a very good read and I really appreciate the author telling her story. It really hit home with me! Congratulations on such a well written book.
